It’s funny how all the news media will take a story sent out by one source, rewrite it slightly, and then the world get’s to read the same info from different sources in the Google News Alerts over the next few days. For example, on July 5, 2010 – I received the first News Alert for Lin Yu Chun in a while (he’s busy making his debut album, according to an his agent,) after President Ma of Taiwan spoke about Taiwan’s “soft” new ‘image diplomacy’, ‘cultural diplomacy’ or ‘celebrity diplomacy’ which his administration has promoted to save the treasury money – and he stated that the international recognition of such celebrities as Lin Yu Chun and philanthopist vegetable grower Chen Shu-chu has done more for Taiwan’s image and its efforts to improve strained relations with the Republic of China, then all the “check book diplomacy,” attemps from the previous Taiwan government.

More power to Lin Yu Chun and chen Shu-chu . . . may we all be such ambassadors.
